The event was first run on 29 March 1981 and has been held in the spring of every year since. These have explored the representation of digital information systems and the often conflicting desires for openly available information within mass media.

This free two-day event held at Bab Ezzouar University (USTHB) was an opportunity to help attendees obtain necessary skills in employment, ask advice from top angel investors from the UK and the USA, and receive help through workshops and clinics.
Keynote speakers, Scott Gerber (USA) and Mike Southon (UK), over 2000 Algerian students, Algerian Ministers, policymakers and stakeholders from Europe, the Americas and Africa were present at the conference. The audience of students, parents, professionals and business persos were extremely cooperative with their listening and their questions. It was nice to see everyone feel so comfortable with one another, feeling free to ask questions during the networking opportunity.
