The Charity acts as a platform for young people to both into practise current skills and develop new ones. We understand the difficulties young people face in making big decisions early on in their life. In order to support them in making the best decisions, we provide work placements in multiple areas of work for young people to gather experience.
We are aware that individuals in our community are unemployed, lack the relevant skills to get a new job, lack confidence, suffer from mental health issues and our team are willing to support them in supervising training in any area of their interest. This may include cafe training, business administration or gardening to name a few.
As the National Algerian Centre, our projects and events and not only for the Algerian Community, we welcome those from all cultures and backgrounds to be a part of our work. Our community events in particular have seen attendees from North Africa, Asia, Europe, the Americas and Caribbean Islands.
The Algerian culture is one which has developed from a deep history. As a charity based in London we organise events and workshops to allow the community in the UK to experience Algerian culture through food, traditions and festivals such as Eid.
